Metcalf Garage Door

Three people. You will meet at most two of them at your house.

Small is not our limitation; it is the product. These are the only three people Metcalf Garage Door has, and between the phone and your driveway, you will deal with nobody else.

Paul Mercer, owner, technician, first truck

Eleven years installing doors for a big regional company taught Paul how doors are born; the warranty callbacks taught him how they die young. He founded Metcalf in 2021 to do the second half of that education justice. Still takes the broken-spring calls himself, still insists the old part gets named for what it is. Grew up in Topeka, lives in Stanley, roots for whoever is losing least.

Carla Mercer, the office

Carla answers the phone, builds the schedule, and remembers which customer has the dog, the gate code, and the door that freezes in January. If you have emailed [email protected], you have met her. She co-founded the company from the family garage, which the family has since reclaimed, mostly.

Marcus Bell, technician, second truck

Marcus apprenticed under Paul at the old shop and followed him here in 2023, which tells you most of what matters about both of them. He takes most of the opener work, where his patience for blink codes and radio mysteries is genuinely unusual, and he is the reason the second truck runs as tight as the first.
